Sophia
Sunday afternoon I headed to Kelly and Tom's to photograph Sophia again! Kelly wants her cutie photographed every few months, and it is amazing to see how much she has changed since I first photographed her as a newborn in early September. I can't imagine what she's going to look like next time I'm there! Anyway, I usually try not to be too heavy-handed with PhotoShop or LightRoom editing- it kills me when I see a photography website where every picture is super-overedited with a bunch of actions and no real rhyme or reason as to why. I was just talking to Molly the other day about wanting to definitely take the time this year to develop a new style of editing for myself, but it really takes a time commitment to figure out exactly where I want to go with it and I just haven't had the time. Luckily, I finally switched from Aperture to LightRoom, and thanks to the ever talented Marc Beaulieu helping to show me how to lighten up my workflow, I should soon have a little more time on my hands to figure out how to create droplets that I love in PhotoShop. The first two pictures on this post, I used a preset in LightRoom that I came across. LightRoom 3 has soooooo many more preset options than 2- I'm so glad I finally upgraded!
Honestly, she kills me...
I don't know why I think this picture is so hilarious, but I do...
