Diana and Jay: Chequessett Yacht and Country Club Wedding
Two weekends ago, I had my 2nd triple wedding weekend of the summer. I started out in Foxboro on Friday second shooting for the awesome Rachel Buckley, continued Saturday with a wedding in Brewster for my good friend Melissa Deschamp, and finally had Jay and Diana's Wellfleet wedding of my own on Sunday! It was a long weekend but a fabulous one, especially for Jay and Diana! The weather turned out to be beautiful despite forecasts of rain, and Melissa and I had such a wonderful time in Wellfleet.
I met Diana about a year and a half ago, when she first contacted me to photograph her wedding. At the time, she was planning on getting married last year, but by the time she was ready to book me I was already taken for her date. Then, during the process of planning her wedding, she and Jay also went through selling a condo and buying a new house together, so they decided to switch their date because they were so busy. She contacted me again for her new date, and this time, I was available! I was very excited because Diana and Jay planned a Wellfleet wedding. I LOVE THE CAPE, and Wellfleet is my favorite town on it because I grew up going there with my family every summer. It's very nostalgic for me, so I could not have been more excited to shoot there. The Chequessett Yacht and Country Club was beautiful, and their beach ceremony was absolute perfection. There were some laughs, some tears, and lots of cuteness as Jay and Diana became husband and wife. Here are some of my favorites from their gorgeous wedding day!
Diana is slightly obsessed with her dog... and by slightly I mean completely :) We threw the garter on Bella for a couple pics!
Pretty ladies...
I love this pic of Diana soooooo much!
Love these shots of Jay that Melissa took!
I almost died laughing when I saw this basket and sign...
Jay looking cool right before the ceremony starts...
Not a bad spot for a ceremony, eh?
Husband and wife!!
Here's the amazing thing about Jay and Diana= NO DIRECTION NEEDED!! I never have to say, "kiss each other, look at each other"... they are ALL about each other, and even with 4 cameras pointing at them, all they see is each other. Awesometastic.
Best spontaneous dip I've ever seen...
OBSESSED with these next three photos by Melissa!!!
One of my faves...
Huge thank you to Melissa who covered details for me up at the club while I photographed family formals and did some details at the boathouse...
The maid of honor and best man gave toasts, and then Diana's parents and Jay's parents joined together to do a traditional Polish bread breaking...
I love the outside of the club... it's so Cape-y! I had to ask Jay and Diana to give me just a few more shots, which they happily obliged :)
Down to the boathouse for dancing...
And cake cutting? ;-)
The end :) Jay and Diana, thank you so much for asking me to join you on your special day. It means the world to me and I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness. XOXO.
