Dakota and Lu
Yesterday I headed to Nahant to photograph Dakota and Lu's wedding, with my friend Melissa Deschamp helping me out! I met Dakota and Lu in the fall when I did their engagement shoot, and I fell in love with them right away. Besides their creepy obsession with Halloween and Ghoul Babies (that's what they're called, right?) they are two of the most down to earth, caring people you could ever meet. I immediately felt welcome in their home, which because they are such huge animal lovers is basically a menagerie. Out of all the weddings I am photographing this summer, 5 couples have met through online dating, and Dakota and Lu are the first of that group. They met through eHarmony.com, and should basically be on a commercial for that site. Not only because they ridiculously good looking, but because they are madly in love. It's photographing weddings like this that really reminds me that God has a plan for us all, and you just have to have a little faith. I can't imagine a more perfect couple than these two, and I am so glad they found each other and asked me to share their big day with them. Here are a few pictures from the day!

A few details...
Dakota and her mom have a special relationship. It's amazing to watch them together. It made me want to go home and hug my mom!
Getting her dress tied up...
Hello gorgeous!
The girls right before the ceremony... hilarious...
Down the aisle we go...
I love this look...
It was very cold yesterday, especially on the water. I got as much time as I could outside, but none of us were doing too well with the wind, so we did a couple of portraits inside too...
Time to get the party started!
First dance...
A couple reception details...
Parent dances...
Dakota and her best friend, the MOH, literally tore the dance floor up all night! They were awesome and had so much fun together, you could instantly see why they are best friends...
I love this moment with Dakota and her mom during the reception...
A couple whose wedding I second shot last year, Ashlye and Zack, were at the wedding, and it was so good to catch up with them! I had to put this in there for them... I feel like it doesn't even need an explanation haha :)
I'll end with a shot of Lu's brothers decorating the getaway car, which again, I don't think needs an explanation. Actually, it probably does, but I'm sure Dakota and Lu explaining it would be much more hilarious than I ever could :) Thank you both for having me, I hope you are having a fabulous time in Jamaica (how was that 5 a.m. flight?) and I'll talk to you soon. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Bonilla! Xoxo...
