Carlee: Trash the Dress
Yesterday I headed to Hartford and the Golden Lamb Buttery in Brooklyn, CT with my amazing mentor Tania Sonesto do a Trash the Dress with Carlee! I knew Carlee from my Bridgewater days, when we both worked for the student safety program. We never worked directly together, but we had a bunch of friends in common, and I always liked her. Carlee is one of those people that you meet in life who is just genuinely nice. Sounds simple but sometimes it feels like there aren't a lot of authentic people out there, who are just real and down-to-earth and kind, and she is one of those people. I hadn't seen her in years, but we were friends on Facebook and I had noticed she had been doing some modeling for Hallmark students, because she worked there. Then in November, I was second shooting a wedding, and I heard someone call my name during the reception. I looked over and there she was! We got to talking and eventually I asked her if she was still modeling and if she'd ever want to do one of these shoots. I was thrilled when she said yes, because I'm always looking for models to practice on (hint hint to any of my friends who need pictures done!). We coordinated hair with our friend Bobby who owns his own salon and provided us with a very talented hairstylist (Carley, you absolutely rock!) and we had amazing make-up and bouquets to work with as well. I am going to start linking up vendors this year, which is something I haven't done in the past, much to my shame and embarassment! So without further ado, I give you Carlee... and yes gentleman, she is SINGLE (I promised I would say that haha).

I love this one!
Next we headed over to Pratt Street...
This door was in front of the Society Room= beautiful!
Carlee had these leg warmers to keep her semi- warm... she went to take them off for these shots and I was all, "no no, they're wicked cute!!" Lol she's going to kill me...
So I'm not kidding, I was literally falling asleep while editing these last night... and as I was falling asleep at my computer, the slider went over on the "temp" lever in LightRoom and when I came to this picture was super warm. And ya know what? I loved it! Totally different look than the rest of the shoot but I still love it...
Then we were off to the Golden Lamb Buttery... and I found some fun stuff along the way!
Seriously, Carlee? Gorgeous! Again guys, she is single!!
LOVE. THIS.
At the Buttery...
Absolutely obsessed with these next two...
Carlee's mom gave her this blanket to use in between shots to stay warm... but I thought it was so perfect for our location and time of day that I decided to use it as a prop!
Thank you so much Carlee for being such an awesome model, Tania and I appreciate it so much! xoxo
